The Guidance Department of James S. Rickards High School is dedicated to the academic, emotional, mental, social, and physical well-being of every student on our campus. We take a holistic approach with our students, as we are concerned not only with how they are doing in class, but also with how they are doing in activities outside of class.

Our guidance counselors are prepared to assist you with finding information related to college applications, scholarship searches, dual enrollment, testing, emotional, social, and mental wellness, and a variety of other topics.

ACT and SAT TEST WAIVERS

How to Request an ACT or SAT Waiver

1. Create Your Account

• ACT: Go to ACT and click Register
• SAT: Go to SAT and click Sign Up

2. Submit Your Account Screenshot Send a screenshot of your account to the appropriate staff member below:

3. Register for Your Test Once you receive your waiver code from your contact, log into your account. Select your test date and location, then enter your waiver code on the payment page.
4. Step 4: Complete Registration

• ACT: Upload your photo and print your ticket.
• SAT: Your ticket will appear in Bluebook—have it ready on test day.

Know your test date, time, location, and what to bring.

Important Information

• You receive 2 ACT waivers and 2 SAT waivers during your high school career.
• You must be a junior or senior to qualify.
• All Rickards students are eligible (We are a Title 1 School).
• Register early to secure your preferred test date and location.
• If you register, you must attend. Not showing up wastes your waiver and takes a seat from another student.
