The Every Child Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires Title I schools to inform parents if, for four or more consecutive weeks, their child has been assigned to a teacher who has not yet met Florida’s teacher certification requirements for all grade level(s) and content area(s) assigned to them. As of this writing, the following teacher(s) have met the following requirements: Ms. B. Scott (ESE Non-Renewable) but have not yet completed these requirements: ESE K-12. We are working closely with this teacher to ensure that she meets all obligations put forth by the State of Florida. In addition, we are providing the appropriate support so that your child receives quality instruction in the classroom. If you have any questions regarding any teacher’s qualifications, please feel free to complete the attached document: Parent Right to Know and submit to Dr. Deborah Barnes at barnesd2@leonschools.net.
